Technical Advisory Committee and Peer Review
 |
 |
|
Because of the complexities of the Newark Bay system, EPA will
need to use the latest scientific techniques in defining the
nature and extent of contamination and determining the human
health and ecological risks posed. To ensure that EPA is using
sound science in the study, a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
has been formed. The TAC consists of nationally recognized
experts in the scientific areas indentified as important for
this project's success. These areas include sediment transport,
sediment geochemistry, bioaccumulation and food chain modeling,
contaminant fate and transport, mercury modeling, field sampling
techniques, and engineering aspects of sediment remediation.
